Hello, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, wondering if anyone will remember me. I came to the 20th reunion with my now ex-wife. Matter of fact, got divorced not long after the reunion, lol. I lived down in south Florida for many years, had a daughter and a son, spent 24 years in the car business. I relocated back to the area back in 2016. Met my future wife in church. We are engaged and just have been so busy remodeling our rental properties, plan on marrying around Thanksgiving. In my spare time, which isn't much, I mess around with old cars, 61 falcon, 66 comet, 68 f100 and a couple of cougars. Just an old ford guy, see y'all there, jon Send Jon a MessageSend Jon a Message

September 17, 1961 Alexandria VA Division Chief, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Dept of State Married 3
After high school, I went to PJC and then UWF.  I graduated from UWF with a BS in Systems Science and an MS in Systems Analysis.  While at UWF I was in the cooperative education program and worked for the Navy developing software to support Navy training.  Other than a short stint working for the CIA (shhh!), I worked for the Navy (federal government) for 32 years.   I currently work at the Department of State in Washington DC in the Bureau of Comsular Affairs.
I married Richard Westmark (class of  1977) in 1984.  We celebrated our  35th anniversary in March.  We have three daughters.  Krista graduated with a degree in Political Science from UF in August of 2007 and lives in Austin, TX.  Ariel graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in architecture in 2014 and a masters in 2016 from the Architecture Association in London, England.  April graduated in 2017 from Marymount University in Arlington, VA and currently is working on a PhD in Politics at the University of CA, Merced.
I started running the summer after high school and I have completed a the Marine Corps Marathon three times and a couple of triathalons.   We also do a lot of bike riding and have completed a several century rides.  Unfortunately during the reunion weekend we have a prior committment to do an annual 100 mile ride in eastern MD.

September 19, 1961 Phoenix AZ Sr. Project Archaeologist Married 3
Forty years!! How did four decades zip by so fast?

As with all of us, a lot has happened since 1979. I received my BA in Archaeology from Auburn University in 1983, and met my fantastic husband-to-be, David, while I was a grad student there in 1985.

I completed my M.A. in Applied Archaeology at USF in 1990 and was ABD for my PhD in Archaeology. While in Tampa we started our family, now all in their 20s, and all are still terrific kids. After graduating from Cornell University, Darr and his fiancee moved to Las Vegas for work (Darr) and law school (Alina). Aja, her fiance, and their one-year old daughter, Sedona, also live in Vegas, so I get to see them often as work takes me there about once a month. Anya transfers in spring 2020 to the University of Arizona in Tucson to study Geology. So proud of them!

Interesting stuff...hmmm. I helped search for drowning victims in Alabama, worked on the sideline at numerous Super Bowls; earned my black belt in Taekwon Do; was an alternate on seasons 12 and 13 for the show, SURVIVOR; and tackled a one-year, solo, archaeological survey in the desert (best year ever). David and I also completed two rim to rim hikes across the Grand Canyon during the summer with temps over 120 degrees. I get to travel all the time to some interesting and isolated areas for fieldwork. David and I are planning to travel to Egypt next summer; something I have wanted to do for years.

David is now the Sports Photographer for Grand Canyon University, covering all of their university sporting events. He travels everywhere with the teams, particularly basketball and soccer, including their international trips. He really enjoys his work and getting to know the athletes.

I am a Sr. Project Archaeologist for Trileaf Corporation in their Arizona office and handle projects for all the western United States, as well as Texas, Arkansas, and recently, Miami, Florida. Most of my work is in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Idaho. I  actually earned the "holy grail" of frequent flying - the Southwest Companion Pass for my husband!

So looking forward to seeing you all. It will be a great time!

Pensacola FL Retired Single
Okay, now that I figured out what this is, I'll give a brief summary of where I've been for the last 40 years.  I graduated from University of South Alabama and went to work in my Mom's evnironmental laboratory.  Got married, moved to New Orleans, then to Miami, then to West Palm Beach, and back to New Orleans where I got a divorce (it takes a year to get a divorce in Louisiana!), all before age 30.  While dinking around with ex, I got a MBA.  Left him in New orleans and moved back to West Palm Beach where I did everything one can in commercial real estate at a pension fund advisory firm.

Got bored, moved to Chicago and got a law degree.  Worked on the Exxon Valdez case for a while, then tried corporate real estate at a large insurance company.  Got laid off, dinked around for a while, and then moved to Ft. Lauderdale.  Working for Boward County for 5 years I was Director of Real Estate, Deputy Port Director, Assistant County Administrator, Deputy Airport Director.  I got promotions (I think) and got to solve problems, which was fun.

i was recruited to be the Chief Commercial Officer (aka Deputy Executive Director of Commercial Development) at Los Angels World Airports - we had 4 airports when I started, down to 2 when I left - not my fault!  After 10 years, I got to retire and moved back to Pensacola because (1) I can afford to live here without working, (2) my Mom is here and (3) I have two beautiful nieces that I like to spoil then go home (which was easier before I moved back to Pensacola!).

I can't believe how much Pensacola has changed and am happy with my decision to be here after 40 years - WOW, REALLY, that long!?  I am doing consulting work, mainly for airports, around real estate issues, but mainly I'm trying to figure out what I want to get involved in.  Once I finish my house remodel I will have a lot of free time . . . probably too much to be honest.

I'm looking forward to seeing folks at the reunion and am excited I can finally attend one!

Fort Worth TX Engineer Married 3
It's been 40 years? That seems impossible!  As hard as it is to believe that 40 years have passed, it has been fun reading what everyone has been up to.

Renee Rasberry and I started dating soon after we graduated from Tate and married right after we both graduated from UWF in '83. We lived in West Palm Beach for a couple of years and then moved to Huntsville, AL where we had our son, Eric, in '86.

We moved to Fort Walton Beach in '87 where we each got a Master's degree from UWF and we had two daughters: Nicole in '90 and Alyssa and '94.  We moved to Woodstock, GA (just north of Atlanta) in '98.  In '13 the entire engineering team for the program I was on was transferred to Fort Worth, TX, so Renee and I have been Texans for the past 6 years.

It'll be great catching up again...see you at the reunion.

Hey Everyone!  Although I spent most my years growing up with Pensacola Christian crowd - I look forward to seeing so many of you that I remember during our crazy Tate years.  Last big reunion I attended was really nice - ready again!  Thank you Sean and everyone contributing. I have so much to be thankful for...Spent about 15 yrs down in Orlando area, enjoying a very blessed life, then lost my precious marriage tragically to the Housing Crash of '08, Husband was Cen Fla GM for a large homebuilding company and we lost everything....flipped our world upside down, trauma too hard to explain, never, ever, ever did I imagine such an ending to a wonderful life and love, but - a different future was meant to be.  Three years of broken hearts, slow healing made my young daughter and I truly understand that God will and CAN blow your mind if you let Him.  We did just that, and out of the blue, I said yes to an amazing man (my daughter's softball coach, retired military and law enforcement ) and his four grown children with extended families! Two of us went to 14 in a loving family! Never in a million years did I see this coming.  Amazing how God only knows all of what we need.  Life has no guarantees... but God's love does:)  My  daughter, Claire is now attending UWF and she amazes me everyday with her strength and common sense that I didn't have at her age! LOL.  Years of middle and high school teaching has lead me to think I'm going to rest these last working years with teaching younger ones???  What was I thinking!  This Ol' Lady plays all day with youngsters at Sherwood Elem.  Last year - my Longleaf Patriot Kiddos ran 21 thousand miles in our 100 Mile Club, K - 5th grade!  Turning young ones on to 'lifetime fitness' is my passion and I hope my Sherwood kids accomplishes even more miles this year.  I have about 5 more years till retirement - still can't figure out what I want to do when I grow up!  Hahaha...Just hope to keep smiling, say my prayers everyday and keep moving on ! Thanks for reading - and knowing I won't be talking about this!! :)  I guess I share my story always hoping to encourage others.

GA Married 2
Greetings Aggies.

I graduated from FSU with a degree in MIS in 1982.  A year later I married a wonderful girl from Gulf Breeze Cheryl Crooke, and this year we mark our 36th wedding anniversary.

During that time we've been blessed with two lovely daughters.  They in turn have gotten married and we also have a wonderful granddaughter.   I work for Cisco Systems...we're the ones that move internet packets...not the Sysco trucks you see on the road (they move ketchup packets) ;-)

Cheryl's focus has been nursing, raising our children, writing screenplays and songs and in general being the focus and anchor point of  our family.

You can now find Cheryl and me working on our next travel adventure.

Looking foward to catching up with you all.
